Kenji Jean

Sale price$285.00

Jeans are one of the most important parts of any man’s wardrobe. We have always wanted to add them to our line, but with so many great options out there, we didn’t want to do it unless we could add something great.

When our Japanese fabric supplier and friend Kenji showed us a sample denim, it sparked the inspiration to begin a 3 year long journey to producing our first jean.

We compiled all our favorite cuts and washes and began sampling. As it was going to be our first and only silhouette, it had to compliment all aspects of our life. Three years later, we are extremely happy with the final product.

The fabric is a Kaihara Selvage denim, which is woven from a slub thread on a shuttle loom in Japan.

The dye is a dark indigo that was washed and hand faded.

The cut is a relaxed taper fit, with enough room to move while retaining the human form.

Finally, each pair of jeans goes through a hand distressing process, leaving them with their own unique fades.

A year ago Kenji passed away. He and his wife Kristen have been very good to us, holding our hands as we learned to make clothing. In memory of Kenji, we named the jeans after him and every pair carries his name.
