The Driggs Waxed Canvas Green Riding Jacket
The Driggs uses a Scottish dry-waxed cotton, the same material used by British heritage outfitters for over a century. Wax cloth earns its reputation honestly: it breaks in with wear, softens to the body over time, and develops a patina that synthetic waterproofing never will. Unlike synthetic materials, natural waxed cotton can be rewaxed, extending the life of the jacket indefinitely. At 8.5 ounces it's light enough to ride in summer, durable enough to go down in.
The fit is slim, cut to wear over a t-shirt with enough room to layer into fall and winter. Back gussets give full range of motion in the saddle. All armor pockets are external and accessible, so you can pull the jacket on and off without digging for hardware.
